Earthquake: 3.4 quake near Borrego Springs, Calif.

A shallow magnitude 3.4 earthquake was reported Sunday afternoon five miles north-northwest of Borrego Springs, Calif., according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 5:13 p.m. Pacific time at a depth of 4.3 miles.

According to the USGS, the epicenter was 24 miles from La Quinta,...
