The teenage serial-murder suspects sought in a weeks-long manhunt across Canada recorded their last will and testament on a cellphone before fatally shooting themselves, relatives said in a new report. A video message filmed by Bryer Schmegelsky, 18, and Kam McLeod, 19, could hold the key to why they embarked on a killing spree in British Columbia this summer, allegedly killing a local professor and an American woman and her Australian boyfriend. About 30 seconds of the footage was shared with family members of the former fugitives, The Toronto Star reported Monday. In the clip, the teens said goodbye to their families and described their wishes for their remains, a family member told the Star. FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — A Chinese woman accused of trespassing at President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago club and lying to Secret Service agents is frustrating the federal judge hearing her case as she ignores his questions and leaves him bewildered with her answers. The woman, 33-year-old Yujing Zhang, is acting as her own attorney and faces up to six years in prison if convicted at her trial set to start in two weeks. But for the second straight pretrial hearing, US District Judge Roy Altman accused Zhang on Tuesday of feigning ignorance and pleaded with her to work with her public defenders, whom she fired in May without explanation. General Electric shares tumbled after a major credit rating agency echoed concerns about the business raised last week by Bernie Madoff whistleblower Harry Markopolos. Fitch Ratings issued an insurance industry update that examined 16 long-term-care insurance providers — and designated GE’s portfolio the second-riskiest. The only long-term-care insurer deemed riskier was Genworth Financial, which was spun out of GE in 2004. Fitch called GE’s insurance business “below average” in terms of reserves, and said its exposure to costly long-term-care insurance payouts is “very high.” The comments come just days after Markopolos on Thursday called the lightbulb maker “a bigger fraud than Enron” — sending the stock down 11 percent. The duo, a man and woman in their 40s, took the sand from the island of Sardinia, where it’s illegal to remove the natural resource, according to CNN. Italian police in Porto Torres spotted the haul stuffed inside 14 plastic bottles while conducting routine checks on cars waiting to board ferries to France, the report said. The couple were charged with aggravated theft and face up to a $3,300 fine and six years behind bars. Much of it had to do with weighing how much his ability as a receiver balanced with the distractions he created and the annoyance factor he injected into the front office and coaching staff. President Trump has postponed a planned meeting with the Danish prime minister after the world leader stymied any talks of a possible deal to sell Greenland to the US. “Denmark is a very special country with incredible people, but based on Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen’s comments, that she would have no interest in discussing the purchase of Greenland, I will be postponing our meeting scheduled in two weeks for another time,” Trump tweeted Tuesday night . “The Prime Minister was able to save a great deal of expense and effort for both the United States and Denmark by being so direct. Jets coach Adam Gase turned to a familiar face Tuesday to help fill the linebacker void left by the injured Avery Williamson. The Jets are signing linebacker Stephone Anthony, a source told NFL Network. Anthony, a former first-rounder, played in Miami the last couple of years with Gase and was drafted to the Saints, who had linebacker coach Joe Vitt. Vitt is now the Jets’ senior defensive assistant for outside linebackers. Anthony was recently cut by the Falcons who signed him in July. The Jets lost Williamson for the season after the linebacker tore his ACL in the Jets’ preseason win over the Falcons on Thursday. WASHINGTON – President Trump Tuesday signed a presidential memorandum outlining new procedures to launch nuclear power systems into outer space. Trump directed the Department of Transportation to issue public guidelines within a year for commercial companies seeking a license to launch spacecraft with nuclear systems. The memorandum also gives NASA 180 days to create an Interagency Nuclear Safety Review Board to ensure the safety of launching radioisotope power systems, fission reactors used for power and propulsion and more. “The United States shall develop and use space nuclear systems when such systems safely enable or enhance space exploration or operational capabilities,” Trump says in the memo issued Tuesday. The team’s sound system played more than half a dozen songs by the rapper at the start of practice Tuesday, one day after receiver Kenny Stills objected to recent comments from Jay-Z about social activism by current and former NFL players, including Stills. It’s unclear whether coach Brian Flores was sending Stills a message. But the Dolphins confirmed that Flores picks the songs for practice, and also confirmed that Stills was told before practice the playlist would go heavy on Jay-Z. A doctor who was fired from an Arkansas veteran’s hospital for being drunk on the job is now charged with killing three patients he misdiagnosed. In one case, Dr. Robert Morris Levy allegedly declared a patient cancer-free after a biopsy, only to have the man die of prostate cancer, according to court papers. In at least two cases federal prosecutors said he forged signatures and documents to cover up fatal blunders – even as he dodged random drug and alcohol tests by drinking a concoction of methyl and butanol that wouldn’t show up on the tests. Levy, former chief pathologist at the Fayetteville, Ark., Veteran’s Health Care System of the Ozarks, was charged with involuntary manslaughter, fraud and making false statements. He was first caught drinking on the job in 2016 after he registered a blood-alcohol level of .396 — nearly five times Arkansas’ legal limit of .08. He had his medical license suspended and was forced to undergo three months of rehab.
