Lakers will ‘regret their decision’

Lonzo Ball wants the last word.

In a new mixtape released Thursday, the recently-acquired Pelicans guard said the Lakers will “regret their decision” to ship him off to New Orleans as part of a package for Anthony Davis.

In total, Ball goes on to repeat the “regret” line — part of the “Last Days” hook– four times in just 2 minutes and 41 seconds. The quip comes on the project’s first of three tracks, which he says isn’t a rip job.

“I’m not dissing anybody I loved my time in LA. I use my music as an outlet to express things that happen in my life,” he tweeted on Thursday.

Yet apparent Ball’s scorn was not only reserved for Los Angeles.

Later in the song, Ball vented about his former manager Alan Foster, who he fired in March after learning that Foster had allegedly embezzled about $1.5 million from him.

Regarding his former manager, Ball says, “Situations in my life will turn a boy to man / You see, I was 19 when I first met Uncle Sam / Put my trust in the wrong person, lost out on some Ls.”

He later delivered a scathing blow to the possibility of him and Foster patching things up.

“I ain’t trying to patch relationships, I just let them burn,” he said on the “50&30” project.

Ball may be hoping to make the Lakers look foolish, but he wasn’t caught off guard by the deal.

He previously told ESPN he was “excited” about being traded to New Orleans.

“Yeah, I’ve been hearing my name for two years now,” Ball said of the trade rumors that persisted throughout his time in Los Angeles. “So it didn’t bother me at all. We were all ready for it.”

Ball, alongside Brandon Ingram and Josh Hart — who were also included in the deal to acquire Davis — is preparing for a big season in the Big Easy.

The playmaker averaged 5.4 assists in over 30 minutes per contest, but missed 35 games due to an ankle injury.

Review: Animated ‘Chance’ takes on dog fighting with overly earnest yet well-intended spirit

The CG animated feature “Chance” is a well-intended but heavy-handed denunciation of the barbaric blood sport of dog fighting.
