Prince Andrew ‘appalled’ by Epstein sex abuse claims

Britain’s Prince Andrew on Sunday broke his silence about his ties to Jeffrey Epstein — calling the suggestion that he participated in any of his pedophile pal’s behavior “abhorrent.”

The statement from Buckingham Palace came after the Daily Mail published footage from 2010 that showed the Duke of York waving goodbye to a brunette woman from inside Epstein’s Upper East Side mansion.

“[Andrew] has been appalled by the recent reports of Jeffrey Epstein’s alleged crimes,” said the statement to The Daily Telegraph.

“His Royal Highness deplores the exploitation of any human being and the suggestion he would condone, participate in or encourage any such behavior is abhorrent.”

The 59-year-old royal is currently on vacation in the Spanish resort of Sotogrande with his ex-wife, Sarah, Duchess of York, according to UK papers.

He was spotted going to church with his mother, Queen Elizabeth II last weekend in Scotland.

Photos showed him grinning widely — despite having been accused of groping a 21-year-old woman’s breast at Epstein’s mansion in recently released court papers.

It was also the first time he was seen in public since officials say Epstein, 66, hanged himself in a Lower Manhattan lockup Aug. 10, while awaiting trial on federal sex-trafficking charges.

The prince has faced scrutiny over his links to the convicted sex offender before.

He quit his role as UK trade envoy over photos that showed him hanging out with Epstein in Central Park in 2010 — two years after the millionaire financier was convicted of two counts of solicitation of prostitution, one involving a minor, in Florida.

The footage obtained by the Daily Mail was taken around the same time as the Central Park photos.

About an hour before Andrew can be seen waving the woman off, Epstein was spotted leaving with a young blonde woman.

Buckingham Palace has previously denied allegations from Virginia Giuffre, who says Epstein coerced her to have sex with Andrew when she was underage.

She claimed in court papers that she had sex with the duke when she was 17, three times, in London, at Epstein’s New York home and at an “orgy” on his private island in the Caribbean.

“It is emphatically denied that the Duke of York had any form of sexual contact or relationship with [Giuffre]. The allegations made are false and without any foundation,” the royal household has stated.

Review: Animated ‘Chance’ takes on dog fighting with overly earnest yet well-intended spirit

The CG animated feature “Chance” is a well-intended but heavy-handed denunciation of the barbaric blood sport of dog fighting. A convicted rapist killer who strangled a teen in 1981 and was suspected of cutting out the eyes out of an earlier victim has been arrested on a new rape charge, six years after he got out of jail. Christopher “Crazy Chris” Aniades, 62, is being held on an attempted forcible rape charge after he allegedly attacked the victim, according to the city Department of Correction. He’s being held at the Eric. M Taylor Center in Queens on first degree attempted rape, according to the city Department of Correction website. His arrest on Aug. 2 was based on a warrant issued by the state’s Division of Parole. The NYPD and the state DOC said they couldn’t provide details on Aniades’ latest offense. Aniades, who was released on Aug. 20, 2013 after spending more than 30 years in jail, became a poster boy of the violent 1980s in New York, when homicides routinely reached 2,000 a year. He was sentenced to 25-years to life for abducting, raping and killing 19-year-old Doreen Vitale on Oct. 15 198...
