Rep. Ilhan Omar has been in multiple intertwined relationships

Her love life was already complicated.

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) — who was accused of being “the other woman’’ in a DC doctor’s marriage Tuesday — had previously been involved in an intertwined pair of relationships for years.

Records show that the 37-year-old Somali refugee applied for a marriage license to a man named Ahmed Abdisalan Hirsi in 2002. She was 19, having immigrated to the States five years earlier.

The duo was never officially married, at least at the time.

Instead, they wed in a traditional Muslim ceremony and had two children before splitting up in 2008, Omar has said.

The next year, she married Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, whom she described as a “British citizen,” records show.

She has said the pair split in 2011 but never officially ended their marriage, although they dissolved it according to Muslim tradition.

Omar then took up again with Hirsi the next year, and the couple had a third child in 2012, records show.

She was elected to the Minnesota House of Representatives in 2016, making her the first Somali-American Muslim legislator in the country.

In 2017, Omar finally officially divorced Elmi. She legally wed Hirsi the next year.

That same year, in 2018, Omar won election to Congress, becoming one of the first two Muslim women to serve there.

She has since sparked months of political controversy over her ultra-left-wing stances on everything from immigration to Israel’s treatment of Palestinians.

Omar has since separated from Hirsi, although it’s not clear when, the Daily Mail reported in July. When confronted about the story at the time, Hirsi replied, “I’m sorry, I just can’t say anything.”

Omar’s camp did not respond to requests for comment from The Post on Tuesday. But she told a local Minneapolis TV station, WCCO, that the pair has not separated. She refused to comment further.

The freshman congresswoman has been hounded over her seemingly odd back-and-forth love life amid suspicions that Elmi is her brother and that she married him to provide him with a green card.

She has called the allegations “disgusting lies.”

Review: Animated ‘Chance’ takes on dog fighting with overly earnest yet well-intended spirit

The CG animated feature “Chance” is a well-intended but heavy-handed denunciation of the barbaric blood sport of dog fighting. A convicted rapist killer who strangled a teen in 1981 and was suspected of cutting out the eyes out of an earlier victim has been arrested on a new rape charge, six years after he got out of jail. Christopher “Crazy Chris” Aniades, 62, is being held on an attempted forcible rape charge after he allegedly attacked the victim, according to the city Department of Correction. He’s being held at the Eric. M Taylor Center in Queens on first degree attempted rape, according to the city Department of Correction website. His arrest on Aug. 2 was based on a warrant issued by the state’s Division of Parole. The NYPD and the state DOC said they couldn’t provide details on Aniades’ latest offense. Aniades, who was released on Aug. 20, 2013 after spending more than 30 years in jail, became a poster boy of the violent 1980s in New York, when homicides routinely reached 2,000 a year. He was sentenced to 25-years to life for abducting, raping and killing 19-year-old Doreen Vitale on Oct. 15 198...
