Patriots’ Tom Brady wants Antonio Brown to move in with him

Tom Brady invited Antonio Brown to move into his stunning Massachusetts mansion while the mercurial wide receiver gets settled in New England, NBC reported ahead of the Patriots’ season-opening matchup against the Steelers in Foxborough.

Brown forced his way out of Oakland and was released Saturday. Later that same day, he signed a one-year contract worth up to $15 million with the Patriots. Given the time he was released, Brown was ineligible to suit up against Pittsburgh, his other former team.

“I’m a million percent in,” Brady told team owner Robert Kraft of the signing, according to NBC.

Of course the 42-year-old quarterback is because the seven-time Pro Bowler gives Brady one of the best wide receivers he’s ever had as the defending Super Bowl champions chase another ring.

It’s unclear if Brown intends to take Brady up on the housing offer, though there is plenty of room in the 10,000-square-foot Brookline villa, which is currently listed for $39.5 million. (Brady has said not to “read into” the listing, as many took it as a sign he could retire following this season.)

For now, Brown was basking in his welcome to his new team before kickoff Sunday.

“Excited to get to work lets go tonight,” Brown wrote on Instagram, along with photos of fans showing off signs in his honor.”

It’s believed Brown’s plan all along was to end up with the Patriots.

Brown had a fallout with Pittsburgh last season, though the Steelers refused to deal him to the rival Patriots. Once he ended up with the Raiders, Brown immediately became a headache, suffering frostbitten feet, waging war against the NFL over wearing a banned helmet and reportedly getting into a verbal confrontation with Raiders GM Mike Mayock last week, among other transgressions.

The 31-year-old then on social media demanded to be released from the Raiders, and ESPN reported Sunday that Brown had sought help from social media consultants to help speed up his inevitable split from the team after just six months and not having played a single down.
